Cheese twists


  1. Preheat non-fan oven tae 200°C
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper
  3. Whisk egg and water together in a measuring jug
  4. Roll oot pastry intae a square shape tae approximately 3mm thick
  5. Brush surface of pastry wi’ the egg wash
  6. Sprinkle half the cheese on half of the pastry and fold over
  7. Seal edges gently with a pinch
  8. Brush the top of your pastry wi’ egg wash and cover with remaining cheese
  9. Cut intae narrow strips
  10. Twist strips intae spirals and place on prepared baking tray
  11. Bake in the centre of the oven for 10 minutes or until golden-brown


  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1x flaky pastry recipe
  • 250g Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, grated and mixed
  • 1 medium egg, beaten, tae glaze
